What Are These Symptoms Of Fever, Cough, And Diarrhea In A 8 Month Old Child ?
I have an 8 month old that started having a fever about 4 am this morning (it is now 7:30 pm) It is 101, and after given tylenol it goes down to 99 for a little bit. He has had diarrhea , thrown up 3 times, and about an hour ago has started coughing and sneezing What could it be and what should I do?

your baby is having systemic infection,as he is having loose motions with high fever you consult your doctor as soon as possible as it may cause dehydration.

This is a classic picture of a viral infection and infants can have vomiting and loose motions with flu like symptoms. The treatment is simple. No antibiotics are needed. To check vomiting, you may give 1.5 Ml of Domperidone drops 8 hourly and give tylenol for fever, only after the vomiting subsides. Give your baby plenty of ORS like Wallyte/Zintrol/Peditral say about 3-5 glasses in 24 hours depending upon frequency of loose motions.
However if the vomiting continues then visit a Pediatrician who may evaluate him for dehydration and manage accordingly.
