General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Ridges in the fingernails are usually normal signs of aging. Slight vertical ridges usually develop in older people. But in some cases, they may be a sign of health problems like vitamin deficiencies or diabetes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Prabhash Verma, General & Family Physician
