What Are Vertical Lines On Fingernails And Toenails Suggestive Of?
I have noticed my finger nails and toe nails have vertical lines in them. One of my toe nails has a split down the center. I also have started to edd have joint pain and just some generalized body pain. i am also having some mild depression symptoms. Is this something I need to see a doctor about?
Ridges in the fingernails are usually normal signs of aging. Slight vertical ridges usually develop in older people. But in some cases, they may be a sign of health problems like vitamin deficiencies or diabetes.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Prabhash Verma, General & Family Physician
