What Can I Do To Decrease Salivation For Increasing Niacin Level?

I have been diagnosed with pellagra (niacin deficiency). My serum niacin level is slowing increasing. Mouth and tongue soreness have greatly improved but the hypersalivation is still a major problem. I am now 2 months into niacin therapy. What can I do to decrease the salivation and save myself from reinjuring my mouth and tongue with this frequent tongue movement to swallow all of this saliva.

hello thanks for consulting at hcm..excess salivation can be controlled by simply being aware of the problem and making a conscious effort to swallow the saliva or wipe it away with tissues. To some degree, it can be managed by controlling the intake of very sweet or very sour foods that cause hypersecretion. It may also be helpful to increase or decrease foods of high water or fluid content.drugs can also be used,,either ways plz consult a specialist at saliva control clinic or ur endocrinologist,,hope it helps..tc
