Hello, Welcome to healthcare magic.
You have negelected your health. You should have gone to you family physician or obstetrician in the 1st month itself after you felt those symptoms. According to your symptoms, it is breast abscess that has been formed. This is fairly common during lactation. If you go to a general physician, it can be treated with antibiotics or a small surgery called incision and drainage where a small cut is made to drain the pus present in the abscess. You can also go to a homoeopathic consultant, where this condition can be treated with homoeopathic medicines. The pus will be either absorbed or an opening will occur from where the pus will be discharged and healing will take place under homoeopathic medicines. This condition is curable. It would not lead to cancer. But you should not neglect this condition. You should ask your doctor the right way of breast feeding, so that breast abscess does not recur. Wish you and your baby good health. Take Care

Pathologist and Microbiologist, Dr. M Agarwal's Response
Hello. Welcome to HCM.
It is possible and common for the mother to have lactational mastitis or galactocole with a feeding baby. Usually it occurs due to incorrect latching or feeding more on one side when compared to the other. To prevent it, it is important to latch the child properly and feed from both sides to prevent engorgement. Lactation mastitis can in the long run both can be complicated by a galactocole formation which needs therapeutic aspiration by needle. BOTH THESE DO NOT LEAD TO CANCER. The best approach for you presently will be to have consult a physician, who will recommend antibiotics and other medicines which are safe in lactation. From now on you can take precautions to prevent this kind of engorgement.
Take care.
