What Can Be Done For CT Showing Sinus Congestion In Several Cavities?
My CT showed sinus congestion in sereral cavities, and my doctor is sending me to an ENT - which I just went to prior to the CT. I have a deviated septum (known this for years). Should I be on antibiotics and how can we tell if this is an infection. Thanks.
Hello It seems from the history that you are having congestion in the cavities around nose as shown in CT scan and deviated nasal septum. The congestion indicates inflammation of sinuses called as sinusitis. The treatment is by using antiinflammatory drugs, antibiotics, mucolytics. The deviated nasal septum may require surgical treatment.
Thank you
