hello doctor, i have 2 kids elder one is 5 years old son and a 3.5 months old daughter ..normal delivery.. i had my first period after 1.5 months after delivery but was very light and brownish and then second period was perfect but i didnot had my third period ..it has been 10 days over after due date..I took pregnency tests two times ..its negative...my doctor advised me deviry 10 mg , 2 tab daily (morning and evening after meals) for 5 days, my daughter is totally on my feed...i had regular periods before that....plz advise
Hi, What you have is lactational amenorrhea. Its the absence of periods while breastfeeding. Its normal.You may not have periods while your breast feed. Eventually your period will return. However you may not be protected from pregnancy during this time. Talk with your doctor about contraception.
