What Can Be Done To Relieve Pain Due To Sore Bum In A Toddler?
Hi, my toddler girl is 2 years and 10 months old, she has never suffered from nappy rash or any other problems around her bum region! She had a urine infection in September and since then is complaining on and off about a sore bum, she points to the front and back when you ask her exactly where! On a few occasions her bum has been extremely red (as if she was scalded) and a few spots on her bum cheeks! She is very irritated by this and I've had her back and forward to doctor ( she is currently being referred to hosp for further tests)! What can I do in the meantime to help relieve her pain?
Hi Welcome to Healthcare-Magic Greetings of the day
Its likely to be nappy rash along with super added fungal infection. I would suggest you the following which will definitely help
1. Local application of combination of Steroid like Betamethasone + antifungal like Clotrimazole will be beneficial. Apply it twice a day 2. Keep the area clean and dry
In case you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.
