What Can Be The Effect Of Missed Dose Of Birth Control Pill?
i started a new birth control pill (microgestin fe 1/20) and missed the fourth pill of the first week on friday and took two at the same time the following day. the next tuesday, i had sex without protection and took plan B two days late and again had unprotected sex saturday. it is now my placebo week and i have skipped the last active pill before my sugar pills and now during sugar pills i am having brown spotting. i still have 3 more days of sugar pills. i took two tests and they came negative and i should be protected but i heard about implantation bleeding. is this my body adjusting or possible pregnancy?

You have been missing doses of your birth control pills. You also had unprotected sex and took plan B two days late. Regular contraceptive pills should be taken as instructed on the leaflet or explained by your health care provider or treating doctor for the best efficacy. Plan B should be taken within 12 hours of unprotected sex for the best efficacy. Effectiveness is 95% within 24 hours, 85% when taken within 24- 48 hours and 61% when taken within 48-72 hours.
Presently, you are having brown spotting while you still have sugar pills left for 3 more days. Wait and see, if you get normal bleeding you are protected and may not be pregnant. In case, you don't bleed after brown spotting, wait for a few days and repeat pregnancy test with the first morning mid stream urine. It can be due to implantation bleeding. Get clinically examined by an OBGYN, get USG done if required to detect / rule out ectopic pregnancy. Stay away from stress & addictions if any. Take adequate rest.
