Hi, i have missed my periods but my pregnancy test came to be negative. My doc prescribed me with gestin 5mg tablet, twice daily for 5 days. Will this help getting my periods?when will i get my periods? I have planned for a holiday in 2days from now.. if i continue taking for 10 days will i get periods after 10days????? pls help.....
Gestin is progesterone that will help you to bring back your periods if the cause of your delayed period is related to hormonal imbalance.
The gestin will stop the delay through break through bleeding. Some women experience bleeding even while on the pills but generally bleeding should come when you stop pills.
Generally progesterone or its synthetic forms could be taken for up to 10 days when aiming to induce break through bleeding. However, this has to be discussed with your treating doctor.
