What Can Be The Treatment For Frequent Urination Problem?

Hi, pleased to meet you. My husband needed to urinate frequently since childhood and is now 32 yrs old. He wakes up several times in the night oftentimes to urinate and holding it in causes him discomfort, even if it's only for minutes. Sometimes this happens in our home as we have 1 bathroom and 5 family members who use it. Should I be worried and is there any treatment for this problem?

Urologist 's  Response
Since this problem exists since childhood, he needs a thorough evaluation.
How is his urinary flow...Speed- projectile or it falls on feet, any intermittency in peeing, sense of incomplete evacuation, hesitancy. Is there any urine leak if he holds peeing.
Get urine routine and culture and Ultrasound KUB with post void residual urine. If any abnormality is found, like hydronephrosis in kidney or stone disease in kidney, ureter or bladder, it needs to be taken care of by Urologist and may require further investigations.
