i feel crap I went the gp and they told me I had a viral infection iv taken medication but nothing is working my nose is blocked itchy and I keep sneezing my whole body is sore I'm so tired my mouth is dry and I have a cough which then follows by mucus what is it ??

The symptoms are typical of viral infection that has led to secondary bacterial infection like sore throat and nasal congestion. As of now you can take a short course of antibiotics for five days, preferably amoxicillin. You can also take acetaminophen for fever and pain. Take antihistamines like Pheneramine or Levi Cetirizine can also provide symptomatic relief. Do steam inhalation and instill nasal decongestants also, Nothing much to worry as the symptoms will settle in couple of days.
