What Can Cause A Weird Headache That Goes Around The Head, All The Way To The Back Of The Head?

My husband got a weird headache that he has never had before. the pain went around his head all the way to the back of his head. Along the sides to the very back.. He does take blood pressure pills, also he has type two diabetes. Can you let me know if that is a warning for a stroke?

Hi,

In case this severe headache has never happened in the past and its throbbing or associated with symptoms like nausea, vomiting, neck stiffness or visual blurring, it's worthwhile to go ahead with CT scan of brain to rule out Brain Hemorrhage. Though it could be just the first episode of migraine or simply stress related.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
