What Can Cause Bleeding After Urination And Pain Below The Ribcage?

Hi
When going to the toilet to pee ive noticed light pink blood when wiping myself. I have put a urine sample in at the doctors and it has come back clear but its still happening. I have a pain just below my right rib that comes and goes and I’ve been having this pain on and off for the last three years. I am 46 years old.
Thanks
Diane

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

As per my clinical experience, bleeding after urination with pain below rib-cage ( possible lumbar region ) narrates calculi or gravels in the urinary system. In our clinic, I recommend patient to undertake a CT scan with contrast. Till that time, plenty of liquids and cranberry sachet will support.

Hope I have answered your query.
