What Can Cause Blood In Stool While Suffering From Short Bowel Syndrome?
What can cause specks of blood in my stool if I have short bowel (gut) syndrome? I m 42 yrs of age and 98lbs(Which is normal for me).I was born premature and have short bowel( gut )syndrome (a lot of my small intestine is gone) I always had God and good doctors taking care of me. I ve been in and out of the hospital all my life. Diarrhea has always been my type of stool. Since birth. Which is normal. Every time I eat it goes right though my system. Similar to Crohns disease. I sometimes get hemorrhoids and anal pfishers. My liver test fluctuates due to having fatty liver. But today I noticed small specks of blood in my stool after going to a picnic last night (I ate pizza, watermelon, pigs in a blanket, chips and potatoe salad and drank apple cider and water) It doesn t feel like a hemorrhoid or an anal pfisher. I had a colonoscopy in 2012. Polops were noncanerous. I don t have a history of cancer in my family. My diet has always been high in fat. I try to eat a low fat diet but it has been hard through out the years. But seeing small specks of blood in my stool has me very scared. Scared to go see my doctor. Help.. Please advise. Thank You, Mo
