What Can Cause Excess Weight Loss, Increased Thirst And Fatigue?

I have a family member that is loosing unintentional weight (20+ pounds in 2 months), has increased thirst, without increased urination and is suffering with fatigue and is very grumpy but that may be to him being nervous. I originally thought it may be diabetes but he has no blurry vision and some of the other symptons.
