Welcome to HCM.
Fever and rash 3 days after a sexual contact was unlikely to be due to either STD or HIV as far as this contact is concerned. If you are a promiscuous individual then this statement would not be applicable to you.
Fever 3 days after any contact might be due any ordinary or common bacterial or viral organism due to close intimacy. It might be an air born infection.
Regarding the tests, it is too early to rely these results except for certain diseases with very short incubation period like Gonorrhea. If you have any more queries you can send your queries directly to me through HCM.
