What Can Cause Overweight In Kids Other Than Fatty Food?

my 10 year old daughter had blood tests that showed she has an inflamed liver. She is over weight, 58kg. The doctor says its from eating to much rich/fatty food. She has already been on 4 courses of antibiotics for bronchitis and tonsilitis now the doctor has prescribed a stronger antibiotic - augmentin. What is your advice

Is it possible she has acute hepatitis and not just a fatty liver? If there are indications of inflammation in the liver, I would want to be sure it's not acute hepatitis before I assume it's from fatty liver. It is concerning she has been on so many antibiotics recently. Some antibiotics can affect the liver. Augmentin in rare cases can really damage the liver and if she does have liver inflammation, it could make things worse. If the tonsillitis and bronchitis have not responded to 4 courses of antibiotics, I would be questioning whether she truly has a bacterial infection, and would want to know for sure which bacteria are causing it and the sensitivities to antibiotics so I could know the right antibiotic to choose. More evaluation is needed before starting her on a 5th course of antibiotics. Hope this helps.
