What Can Cause Pain In Ear While Swallowing And Weird Buzzing Sounds After An Ear Infection?
Two months ago I had a painful ear infection which had me using antibiotics for 10 days to clear it up. Now, over the last 2 weeks or so I ve been having the following symptoms: weird buzzing sounds in my ear, ear hurts when I burp or swallow larger amount of foods, windy days make my ear feel sensitive. So my question is: is the infection I had 2 months back? Or do I have another more serious problem? I don t have a cold or allergies. I m 37 years old
As per your query you have pain in ear while swallowing and weird buzzing sounds after an ear infection . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are probably due to eustachian tube dysfunction , which occur when infection spread from upper respiratory track to ear from eustachian tube dysfunction due to post nasal drip , whcih occur because of sinusitis or upper respiratory track infection due to low immunity or when it left untreated . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order test like throat swab test , viral culture test and blood test along with CT scan . Doctor may prescribe antibacterial or antiviral drugs depending upon the diagnosis along with decongestant and expectorant . Fow now do warm saline gargles several times a day .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
