I have a trouble of rapid heart rate, heart burn, faint feeling, light head etc. i have gastric problems because every time I took food I feel those listed symptoms with hot hand and frightend feeling. Is it really gastric problem or what? please help!
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. A combination of the rapid hear beats, heartburn, feeling faint and light headedness on eating food along with hot hands and feeling frightened can be due to the following reasons: The commonest being Thyrotoxicosis that is increased function of the thyroid gland. Any cardiac problem. GERD associated with other things as mentioned above. This can be diagnosed by the following: Clinical evaluation and examination by your Doctor. Blood tests of thyroid and other relevant investigations. Upper GI Endoscopy after the clinical evaluation by a Cardiologist, EKG, Echocardiography and other test if normal. All these things will give an appropriate diagnosis and a plan for proper management.
