What Can Cause Severe Headache And Pain Behind Eyes?

I AM CURRENTLY UNDER TREATMENT FOR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE. I HAVE PRESCRIPTIONS FOR METOPROLOL SUCCINATE 50MG, LISINOPRIL 20MG, HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE 25MG 1/2 TABLET DAILY, AND ATORVASTATIN CALCIUM. ALMOST EVERY NIGHT WHEN I GO TO BED I DEVELOPE A HEADACHE WITHIN AN HOUR. IT BEGINS WITH TIGHTNESS IN THE BACK OF MY NECK AND EXTENDS UP THE BACK OF MY HEAD AND DOWN INTO MY RIGHT EYE. TERRIBLE PAIN BEHIND THE RIGHT EYE! IF I GET UP AND SIT UP FOR A WHILE THE PAIN WILL USUALLY PASS BUT REOCCURS WITHIN THE NEXT HOUR. THIS IS REPEATED SEVERAL TIMES A NIGHT. COULD THE MEDS IT TAKE BE CAUSING THIS PAIN?

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

You have not mentioned your blood pressure value...

You are given three antihypertensive drug and one for hyper cholesterol....

So your bp may be much high so three drug given...

Lisinopril among these drugs can cause headache mainly ....

You headache also precipitated by hypertension ...

So just now focus in treating hypertension with regular drug.
Then gradually will shift you toward two antihypertensive drug...

Low salt diet taken ..

If bluured vision , speech problem or any unusual symptom occur CT scan done.
