What Can Cause Spongy Sensation On The Soles Of The Feet While On Medication For BP?

For the last 5 years, the bottom of both feet feel spongy. It started after wearing new sneakers without socks for a two week period and the feeling hasn't gone away. The bottom of my feet are fine, skin is not cracked and smooth. I do take blood pressure and cholesterol meds. Otherwise, my health is normal but I need to loose 25 pounds. I'm a male, 65 years old.

Hello,

With the wearing foot ware such thing is likely even without the socks and it is not the sign of any disease. Neither it is anything to do with any medical history. Doubt is, fungal infection needs to be ruled out.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
