What Can Cause Swelling In The Ankles?

Hi about a month ago my ankles started swelling quite a lot now it is also my feet the only changes in my life is the change from winter to a very hot summer my dr had also added atorvastatin 10 mil to my meds I have tried taking tynole to reduce the swelling but it has not worked I have never had swelling like this changing from winter to summer for about a wk my dress shoes would be tight but I am wearing my dads shoes mine can only bee worn for a short time sneakers ect no dress shoes and ankle boots don t fit at all my ankles are about 2 to 2 1/2 larger than normal the only other thing I can think of is I have 2 bad teeth parts of them broke off (rotted) at the point of a filling had a tooth ake for a couple days but no pain now . What could be causing this

Hi,

It might be an ankle sprain or contusion.

As the first line of mangement, you can take analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like Aceclofenac/Serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist you can consult an orthopedician and get an MRI scan done.
