What Can Cause Thick Mucus In The Throat That Comes Out Of The Nose?

Hi. Since a week I have very thick mucus in my throat and coming out of my nose. At night I can barely fall asleep because of the feeling of something stuck in my throat. Today I also began to experience pain in my right ear. It feels like it is filled with a fluid and I here a continuous beep noise. Do you know what this could mean and how I can solve it?

hi, thanks for writing to us
the post nasal discharge probably could be due to nasopharyngeal infection, due to the congestion in throat the ear ache is being caused, you'll have to be put up on antibiotic course which is available only on prescription under the counter, hence kindly consult the local ENT specialist and get investigated.
for time being steam inhalation and lukewarm water gargling will give you relief.
