What Can Heal The Redness And Swelling Caused By Frostbite On Ears?
Hi - I recently experienced frostbite on the upper half of both ears. This happened last night when my ears were exposed to -14 degrees below zero while shoveling snow. When I came inside - I noticed what I believe was frostbite and I warmed my ears back up with my wife s hands. They are now just very red, and I am experiencing some swelling. When will the swelling go down and will my ears go back to their previous color? I have some mild discomfort when I touch my ears - but I am not experiencing sever or throbbing pain. I am taking nsaids to help with the mild pain. Thank you for your feedback, Patrick Coyle
hello. it is very likely that you may have experienced frostbite, and i think you have taken the right measures till now. if there is pain , change in color (blue or black) or the the swelling increases, then meet your doctor immediately. otherwise for the time being you should keep your ears warm and dry. thanks
