hi
statins are used in hyperlipidemias meaning increased cholesterol in the circulation. it can happen due to weak digestive action or over eating of fat. First set right your digestion and have controlled diet. Ayurvedic herbs like commiphora mukul (guggulu), terminalia chebula(harad/hareetaki) piper longum etc are time tested and scientifically proven in reducing increased cholesterol as well as normalising the digestion. Consult ayurvedic physician to exactly pin point the problem.

Hi,
Thanks for query,
Atorvastatin tab has got side effects like nausea, gastric upset.
But 10 mg is quite low dose and if you have hyperlipidimia ,you have to continue.
Take some B.complex or multivitamin supplements for weakness.
Ok and bye.

Hi,

You can take garlic pills in your diet as supplement. For a period of 2 to 3 months try eating a cholesterol- lowering diet, regular exercise, homoeopathic remedy in the form of glycirrhiza glabra Q which is known to effectively lower cholesterol. If the results are not satisfactory, you can revert back to statin therapy, but do undergo regular liver function tests at an interval of 3 to 6 months to avoid and detect hepatotoxicity.
