Started diarrhea on 9-2-17. Diagnosed with growth of salmonella enterica subspecies I (enterica) on 9-20-17 and was told by primary care physician to take Imodium on 9-14-17. Started taking ciprofloxacin 500 mg on 9-20-17 and quit taking Imodium!! The last tablet will be taken shortly here but this morning had terrible gas and stomach cramps!! Right now the temperature is 99.1. Last night had a 1/4 cup sweet potatoes and 1 slice of a tomato - which was the only food different (did eat some cucumber 9-23 and 9-24) - wondering if these foods would have produced the gas and cramps this morning? Took some Pepto-Bismol and have eaten toast and veg. soup today, but have not taken the last ciprofloxacin yet. The diarrhea has subsided but why the slightly high temperature and gas and stomach ache which was terrible this morning and was even sweating and shaking? Should the temperature be so high yet? Oops this individual is a male.
