Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
From past 8months I have been facing a problem after having a brush a blood spits are happening and I consulted a doctor recently 2weeks ago he made a scope test in the throat and it showed the result as granular pharyngitis. The doctor advised me a medication for 10days and gave me a medicine TEXAKIND 20 tablets and suggested to take 2 tablets per day for 10days. While the course duration no blood spits are happend but after completion of the course the blood splits are happening again. My symptoms are 1. Dryness of throat 2. Blood spits 3. Uneasyness in long talks
Hello I understand your concern regarding dryness and soreness of throat.
Texakind will stop bleeding but will not remove the cause which is giving rise to blood spits. A course of antibiotics will be required for 7-10 days. You may meet and discuss with ENT specialist. Warm saline gargles, avoiding cold fluids and cold environment, avoiding smoking ,alcohol, hot, spicy food is recommended. If it is associated with heart burn or gastric reflux, you may also need PPI like omeprazole once a day for atleast a month. Steroids may be used in non responding cases.
Hope I answered your query. Wish you recover soon from the problem.
Thanks and regards.
