What Casues Body Itching And Dizziness After Taking Amoxicillin?
I took two capsule of amoxicillin, each 500 mg each. Within couple of minute I started iching little bit followed by dizziness and I fainted. my husband called 911 and went to emergency. My blood pressure dropped so much they could not measure it. I think they revived me after saline solution. I have taken this drug several time, infect I took it for 10days in February after my tooth extracted. I feel the drug may be a problem where it was manufactured, found out that this one was manufactured in India. Do you think mmy gues may have any value. Have you heard about any body had this type of reaction? I am a scientist, and interested to find out what and why it happened.

I guess what you might have experienced would be an anaphylactic shock. You might have gotten allergic to a particular batch of amoxycillin, which could have triggered the reaction. Maybe something pertaining to the packaging or the drug environment. Don't worry. Since now you are out of harm's way, be cautious about taking penicillins. And do tell your doctor about this history. There are other antibiotics which can be given without such a reaction.
