What Casues Chronic Diarrhea?

I have been taking antibiotics and just last night I started having water diahrea. I already had three episodes within the last 2 hours. Can this be Cdiff? If so, I already stopped taking the antibiotics two days ago. What can I eat in the interim I get to a clinic to be treated?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that it is c diff infection or there may be another type of infection present.

A stool sample sent to the lab would be helpful in finding the exact cause.

In diarrhea the intestines are inflamed and would find it difficult to absorb food. In addition , the use of solid food may inflame it.

It would be best to use liquids mainly to help replace fluids and electrolytes loss and also consider the use of probiotics as well.

I hope this helps
