Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, My dad gets random pain for every 15 to 20 days. The pain is very severe and he has to go to emergency to have a pain medication. The pain starts from groin, spreads to hip, back and entire body. Whenever the pain comes his BP increases with or without vomit. Before 2 years he was diagnosed with Abdominal Aneurysm and as part of the treatment there was a stent in his back. He checked with his neurologist and nephrologist to ensure there were no issues with Aneurysm or kidney Can any one please help let me know what the problem could be?
If I would have been your father's treating doctor I would first of all rule out any abnormality involving his hip joints like arthritis, fracture of neck of femur or avascular necrosis of femoral head which could lead to such kind of pain.
In addition to this I would have also advised for ultrasound abdomen and pelvis to rule out any abdominal pathology as well as examination of abdomen for a hernia. So I would recommend you to visit an orthopedic and general surgeon to rule out such pathologies.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Humaira Naerm, Cosmetic & Plastic Surgeon
