What Cause Blood In The Urine?

I had significant blood in urine in the middle of the night last night, and again in the morning the first two times I urinated. I had a TURP in May 2015, so I emailed my URO. I.ve been very tired today. Also, I started CELECOXIB 200 MG CAPSULE 2/day on January 3rd. URO has me scheduled for a cystoscopy in 9 days, and it worries me to wait that long.

Hello,

Blood in urine suggests that the kidneys or some other part of the urinary tract are corrupted and let the blood pass in the urine.

It can be a symptom of different urinary tracts disease like kidney or bladder stones, an inflammatory disease like glomerulonephritis (most likely in people that suffered from tonsillitis with high titration of antistreptolysin), some type of tumours like bladder papillomas, and also it can be caused by severe infections of the tract.

The cystoscopy is the right test to have, but i would also suggest blood cells count and urine culture.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
