What Cause Recurring Pain And Hardness In Nipple?

Just in the last 24 hours one of my breasts, the nipple keeps getting really hard and hurting horribly. I haven t done anything different. It s really crazy painful. It will stay that way for about 5-15 minutes and then it s ok and then it happens again.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Welcome to health care magic

I understand your concerns about hard sore nipples and breast pain.

This can happen due to hormonal changes in a cycle.

These changes are seen commonly during the premenstrual part of the cycle and suggest impending Menses.

If pain is not much you can ignore it. Otherwise you can take progesterone medicines if pain is unbearable.

You will need a prescription for the progesterone though, so you can talk to your Gynecologist about that.

Hope this will help you..

Regards,
