What Cause Severe Pain Around The Ribcage And Vomiting?

My mom is saying that there is a sever pain around her left rib and kidney area. She's been vomiting and has back pain to a point where she can't move. She's had a fever sometime the past couple of days along with congestion and diarrhea. Can someone please let me know what's wrong with her.

* As per the narration and my clinical experience co relation, the current condition of your mom is likely sequence of some sort of intestine or colon infection as diverticulitis or others involving left side with referred pain over back , fever suggests systemic manifestation of the same.
* In our clinic, I recommend a thorough clinical assessment with basic lab tests involving complete blood counts, electrolytes, creatinine and ultrasound of the abdomen & pelvis to find out underlying cause and treat accordingly.

Pain in gastric region could be due to intestinal pathologies, like colic or biliary system, renal system, beside this it can be due to acid peptic disease, all these condition needs to be differentiated, some time particular diet may be the cause of such pain, certain diet causes the dyspepsia like spicy food, high calorie diet, fired food, junk food.
