Hello! I read carefully your query. The symptoms you describe (weight loss, blood in stool, pain in rectum) are very concerning findings. It might be rectal or anal cancer and if has to be diagnosed as soon as possible. The weight loss is huge and it is really concerning because it indicates a neoplastic process .
He need to consult a physician as soon as possible for diagnosis and treatment. Advise and convince him that this might be life threatening if left untreated.
Take care. Dr.Rovena
