I have a sore lump, almost feels like a muscle strain in my abdomen, Its about 2 inches in diameter starts in the top of my belly button and goes above it about center. I did some strenuous activities over the weekend and I don't know if I did something bad. Please help.
It could be umbilical hernia, as you describe (some strenuous activities) which can only happens in the hernia when the bowel in the herniated content with peristalsis will feels like that.
The pain could be due to the strangulation of the herniated content.
Suggest you to see your GP as soon as you can and get it examined and ask for an ultrasound - helps to evaluate the nature of the lesion, its source and extensions and any associated pathologies. Further it cane treated accordingly.
