What Caused Blood/ Metallic Taste In Mouth, Disorientation Shortly After Her Father Passed Away In A Diabetic Person?

In the past couple of days, my mother has started showing some strange symptoms of blood/metallic taste in her mouth, and disorientation(sometimes she thinks her skin is coming off, and that her surroundings look completely new/different). All of this started happening shortly after her father passed away, in fact, only within the last 4-5 days, before that, such behavior was non-existent for her. She suffers from type 2 diabetes, but no other significant medical issues. We're waiting to see a psychologist recommended to us by a doctor we know, but I've grown a bit impatient, so decided to get an opinion beforehand. Thank you.

I really appreciate your concern, this is kind of hallucination, your mother must be having soft corner for her father and she must be loving him very much, and that would be the prime cause of her hallucination, but this will go away with the counselling and moral support, just nothing to worry about this take a good care of her, have nice day.
