I am 26 female married and having an active sexual life My periods were 10 days late this month Till now my periods were regular and on time Did pregnancy test and it was negative What is the reason for late periods? Today i got my period and it was water thin and bright red in color

Hi, I think it can happen due to some stress factor also. Other reasons can be some vaginal infection or may be some hormonal imbalances. If the periods get delayed like this over few months, get a thyroid profile and prolactin levels and a ultrasound for your uterus and ovaries done. Also get yourself examined by a gynecologist. Occasional delay of periods is normal.
