What Causes low Heart Rate After An Artificial Heart Valve Insertion?

I m experiencing low heart rate (37-41). I had an artificial heart valve inserted 2 years ago (bovine). I am experiencing most of the low heart rate symptoms. This condition started about two days ago and is consistent in nature. Should I seek emergency assistance or wait and see my cardiologist on Monday?

Hello,

Consult a cardiologist and get an ECG to rule out cardiac arrhythmia.

Sometimes you might require drugs like Atropine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
