What Causes 1-2 Pus Cells In Urine Of A Toddler Post Treatment For UTI?
My daughter is 17months old. And had been under UTI medication for 1 week. The pus cells in her urine was 2-8. Her pedia said to have a urine test again after one week.after the medication. But it took 3weeks to have her urine test again and it shows pus cells 1-2 is it normal? Or do i have to continue her medication? Thanks!
I have gone through your query, i will try to give you suggestion which will be helpful to you. 1-2 pus cells in urine sample is normal, you need not worry about it .meanwhile give plenty of fluids and cranberry juice which is known to protect against urinary tract infection. If your child develop fever, burning micturation then consult your doctor and get urine culture and sensitivity done.
I hope this suggestion might be of some help to you. I will be glad to help you in case if you have any further queries. Thank you
