What Causes A-Fib After Triple Bypass CABG Surgery?

My husband, 71, had triple bypass CABG surgery on Jan. 9. He was put on amiodarone in the hospital for a-fib (30 day Rx). On Thursday of last week, he was noted as being in A-Fib at rehab. He has not been doing the walking as prescribed, nor using the spirometer as prescribed … perhaps one time per day on average … Could these factors have caused the A-Fib or is it totally related to the surgery itself?

hello I will explain your query.
-atrial fib. after CABG is relatively common occurring in 20-40 patients out of 100 patients operated.
-in presence of normal left ventricular systolic function and size of left atrium, it is likely to revert to normal rhythm.
-in presence of cardiac enlargement and impaired function, A.fib may persist.
-effective treatments are available for AF.
thanks
