Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had an endonasal balloon technique procedure done to help me deal w/ chronic pain. The chiropractic adjustment moves the skull plates in their more natural position. I also recently am getting over a cold. I feel like I have water lodged ears. If it is Cerebral spinal fluid by the ear drum, how will it go away. The csf in my ear might be due to the prior chiropractic adjustments that I had. I ve tilted my head to one side, yet I still have water or csf in both of my ears. It doesn t seem to be painful as an ear infection would be. It s just fluid and pressure.
Very likely the fluid in your ears is not CSF as CSF is present in the ears only after major head trauma that causes fractures in the base of the skull. The fluid behind your eardrums is very likely due to the common cold you have experienced recently. In this case, the eustachian tubes that drain the ears get blocked due to the inflammation with the common cold and cause fluid to build behind the eardrums.
This is generally a self-limiting condition that should get better in a few weeks.
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj General and Family Physician
