What Causes HPV And Low Grade Cervical Cell Changes?

I was originally diagnosed with high grade abnormal Cervical cells and had a LEEP in 2006. A few years later I had an abnormal pap and they did a colposcopy. Since then I have had yearly papa and they have been normal for the past few years. I just got my yearly well woman last week and got the results that I have HPV and low grade cervical cell changes. I have been marred for almost 7 years and I don t understand why this keeps coming back. Is there something I need to do so this stops happening?

Hello,

You should know that changes as low grade or high-grade HPV come from viral infection of HPV. It doesn't exist a cure about it. If you had leep first time and it didn't work this time you may need a greater excision of coli uteri.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
