What Causes HPV Infection?

Hi I was diagnosed with HPV July of 2016 I had a total hysterectomy in Sept. 2016 I had a follow up after my hysterectomy in april of 2018 and then told to follow up in a year. I just recently went back to my dr. last month for a regular exam. He completed an pap smear and again it shows HPV. I have not been sexually active in any many since this procedure so I don t understand how I still have HPV. My email address is YYYY@YYYY
