Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I am 56 yr old male, 2 months post op from mitral valve repair. It went very well. Duing the pre-operative analyses they found I have 25% blockage in two cardiace arteries. I have no symptoms. My exercise now includes a weekly 3.5 mph hike for 14 miles. I have started a few cardiac rehab sessions to learn how to avoid further problems and see if the a Holter monitor would detect anything unusual during exercise. I had PVCs during exercise. They had never shown up on any EKG before. 1- Are the PVC s likely a result of the surgery? 2 - Would it be reasonable to expect that the PVC frequency would go down as I go into my 3rd month post op? Thanks, Brad YYYY@YYYY
