Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Sjogren S Syndrome And Lichens Sclerosis?
I have Sjogren s Syndrome and it is wreaking havoc with my body. I have been battling lichens Sclerosa since 6/2 and using clobetasol as prescribed. I also have HSV2 but havent had an outbreak in over twenty years. The first was so mild I wasn t even sure I had it. After coming home from the lake a week ago I noticed a slight red rash/ bumps between my upper inner thighs more toward the front of the body. This has almost gone away but over the past week it has spread back both sides of inner thighs and around my anus. It is painful there, very red and there are red bumps on my legs that are reabsorbed and some of the redness is simply like red dots of different size and shape. I stopped using the clobetasol 3 days ago. Do you think this is an HSV2 outbreak or something related to clobetasol?
* The painful red lesions over legs and thigh, anus area seems contagious lesions via some sort of bacterial or viral infection rather than HSV 2 break out.
* Clobetasol can cause skin rashes from sensitivity, desensitization or other response where there is immune suppression via actions of steroid itself.
* The auto immune related changes are of multiple factorial origin and must be evaluated thoroughly with consultant expert only.
