General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Females including female children are more prone to urinary tract infection. More closeness of anal area and urethra and short urethra is the most likely reason. You should give plenty of plain water for drinking. Cranberry juice and barley water are also good to dilute urine and prevent such infections. While cleaning the anal area go on only one direction towards the anal side. Don't postpone urination when bladder is full or feel to urinate. These measures will be helpful to prevent getting urinary tract infections.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
