Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 7 almost 8 year old son keeps pulling out his baby teeth no they are not wiggly or loose 3 times he ripped it out by the root this time it broke and tore his gums. Going to call the dentist in the morning. But seriously why does he do this. I have 3 kids and he's the only one that does it
Understanding your concern. As per your query you son have symptoms of teeth pulling out which seems to be due to sensory processing disorder such as ASD( Autistic Spectrum Disorder) in which child may have hypo-sensitivity to pain and it leads to unusual forms of behavior in child which could be self-injurious. I would suggest you to visit pediatrician once and get complete examination done. Go for OPG of child as well to check if any dental anomaly is there and start treatment accordingly.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
