What Causes A Barking Cough With A Leg Rash?

Hello, I am wondering if I need to take my daughter to the ER she has a barking cough which she has had for a while and at first i thought it was because of allergies but this is getting crazy! And now I see there is a rash on the back of her upper leg. Today I found a tick on her and now I am freaking out do you think she is fine?

Hello,

I think the tick bite has caused her rash on her leg. Since she has this barking coughing, I think you should send back to her caring doctor to evaluate the rash. Most probably she might need prescription antibiotics. Meanwhile, you should wash the rash area with warm water and soap. Rinse well, apply alcohol spray, followed by Betaine, and antibiotic ointment. Apply aloe vera gel throughout the day.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
