Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I was wondering what does not mean when a bee sting turns black? My husband is not allergic, but he has Hodgkin s Lymphoma blood cancer and was recently stung by a bee. In less than five minutes after removing the stinger, the bite turned black. Should we be concerned?
It could be due to severe site reaction to bee sting. Apply ice locally for the following couple of days. Apply aloe vera locally at night. If any systemic reaction goes to the ER immediately.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
