Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had 3 basal cell carsinoma spots/lesions removed surgically; recently (Jan-Feb and again yesterday) a mole on my mid-back/vertebral column region has repeatedly bled , apparently spontaneously (since I can not touch that spot but may have bumped it in the tub or whirlpool). Is this bleeding mole of concern and/or possibly related to a basal cell carsinoma issue? Why would a mole bleed like this?
Bleeding mole needs to be considered for further investigation to rule out cancer. You need to get a FNAC or biopsy done along with histopathological examination.
Further treatment would depend on the investigation report. Kindly consult Surgeon with the report for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S,
General & Family Physician
